Poster Content and Layout

Your poster should contain the followings:

  • Background/Aim: informing about the aim and objectives of the research
  • Methods: explaining the basis of the techniques which were used
  • Results: showing illustrative examples of the main results
  • Summary and Conclusions: listing the main findings of your investigations

The poster layout should be easy for viewer to follow. It should be read from left to right and from top to bottom. You may choose to number the individual panels or using arrows to assist viewers to follow through your poster.

Additional Guides

  1. Simple and Concise
Make full use of the space. Do not overfill the page as it will appear unattractive and difficult to read.
Use only pertinent information to convey your message, presenting only those that illustrate the main findings of the project when showing results.

  2. Readability
To accommodate a group of people reading a single poster, the size of the lettering must be large enough to be legible at a distance of approximately 1.5 to 2 m.

    • The minimum font size for your text should be at least 20 pt and approx. 70 pt for your title.
    • Ensure good contrast for your background and text
    • Do not use all upper case in your posters as it makes your material difficult to read.
  3. Use Picture
Present numerical data in the form of graphs, rather than tables.
